She's pretty straightforward so she cuts through his bullshit and doesn't allow him to push her around which is good because he'll go in circles otherwise. He's really really sad that she died, but the impact of that is not much beyond "oh my god people can die i could have died" so it's going to be one of those sleeper tragedies '-'! He will come over to Sage though and probably bully Elliot.
